1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hangar Academy (hangaracademy.com), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users and purchasers.

2. Description of Service

Hangar Academy LLC ('we', 'us' or 'our') operates hangaracademy.com, an online study platform offering exam preparation for FCC commercial radio operator licenses and FAA aviation mechanic knowledge tests, along with skill courses, free course previews and the Toolbox, a free technical reference library. Course content may be added, updated, corrected or reorganized over time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Accounts are for one person and may not be shared. Notify us right away at support@hangaracademy.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Purchases and Payments

Some courses are free with an account. Paid courses are sold as one-time purchases. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and prices are listed in US dollars. By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge your payment method the amount shown at checkout. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.

6. Course Access

A purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to access that course's study material, practice questions and mock exams for as long as we continue to offer the course on the platform. If we permanently discontinue a course you have purchased, we will give you reasonable notice or, at our discretion, a refund.

7. Refund Policy

Free previews are available so you can try a course before you buy. Because course content is digital and available immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once access has been granted, except where a refund is required by law. If you believe you were charged in error or were unable to access a course you paid for, contact us at support@hangaracademy.com and we will review your request.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to share your account, resell or redistribute course content, copy or scrape the platform by automated means, attempt to bypass access controls or payment, or use the platform in any way that is unlawful or that interferes with its operation. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

9. The Toolbox

The Toolbox technical reference library, including its calculators, charts, frequency lists and guides, is free and requires no account.

10. Educational Use Only

All content on Hangar Academy, including courses, the Toolbox and blog posts, is provided for study and general reference only. It is not a substitute for the manufacturer's maintenance data, FAA-approved or acceptable data, current FCC rules, official charts and publications, or the judgment of an appropriately certificated person. Always verify torque values, weight and balance figures, frequencies, limits and procedures against the current official source before relying on them for any real-world installation, maintenance, operation or flight.

11. Intellectual Property

All original content on Hangar Academy, including lessons, explanations, graphics, course structure and platform code, belongs to Hangar Academy LLC and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from it without our written permission.

12. FCC and FAA Question Pools

FCC commercial operator examination question pools are published by the Federal Communications Commission, and FAA knowledge test materials are published by the Federal Aviation Administration. These are public domain government works. Hangar Academy's original explanations, lesson content and organization of this material are our own.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hangar Academy is provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep content accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, error-free or up to date with the latest rule changes, that the platform will be uninterrupted, or that using it will lead to any particular result, including passing a licensing examination.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hangar Academy LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform or its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

15. Affiliation Disclaimer

Hangar Academy is an independent study platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Aviation Administration or any other licensing or regulatory authority.

16. Affiliate Links

Some pages contain affiliate links to products on Amazon and other retailers. If you buy through these links, Hangar Academy may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Hangar Academy earns from qualifying purchases. We only recommend products we believe are genuinely useful.

17. Termination

You may stop using the platform and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. If we terminate your account for reasons other than a violation, we will refund any course you purchased in the previous 12 months.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will update the 'Last updated' date above and notify account holders of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

19. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
