About
Training built by people who maintain aircraft.
Hangar Academy helps technicians and mariners earn their FCC radio licenses and FAA mechanic certificates. It also keeps a free reference library for the bench and the flight line. Everything here is written by aviation maintenance professionals, for the people coming up behind them.
Dragan Pecanac
Founder
- 10 years in aviation maintenance, across military and commercial aircraft
- Former US Air Force avionics technician, served as a Staff Sergeant
- Aircraft Maintenance Technician at a major commercial aircraft manufacturer
Dragan started Hangar Academy to be the go-to place for technicians to review, study and look things up, all in one spot. That means plain-English lessons, the real exam questions with real explanations, and the reference charts he actually keeps in his own pocket.
Having been a service member himself, he also wants training to be priced fairly. Military credentialing funds and employer education benefits are limited, and every dollar a course doesn't overcharge is a dollar left for the next certification.
Reviewed by technicians
Course material is also reviewed by a second former US Air Force avionics technician, who checks lessons and questions for accuracy and for how clearly they explain things to someone new to the trade.
How we build courses
Independent training
Hangar Academy LLC is an independent company. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the FCC, the FAA, the US Air Force or any aircraft manufacturer. Courses are study aids. Always follow the current regulations and the approved maintenance data for the aircraft you're working on.
