We collect your email address when you create an account. We collect usage data related to your activity on the platform, including courses accessed, quiz results, and study progress. We do not collect your name, address, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide it in communications with us.

3. Payment Information

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Hangar Academy does not store, process, or have access to your credit card or payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information and can be found at stripe.com/privacy.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your email address to provide access to purchased content, send account-related notifications (such as email confirmation and password reset), and communicate important updates about the platform. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. We use usage data to improve course content and platform performance.

5. Data Storage

Your account data is stored securely using Supabase, a database platform hosted on servers located in the United States. Supabase's privacy policy can be found at supabase.com/privacy.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies solely for authentication and session management — to keep you logged in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party marketing cookies. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage statistics about how visitors interact with our site. Google Analytics may use cookies to collect this data. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (data storage and authentication), Vercel (website hosting), and Google Analytics (anonymized usage statistics). We do not sell or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.

8. Affiliate Links

Some pages contain affiliate links to Amazon and other retailers. Clicking these links may allow those retailers to set cookies on your device in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not receive any personal information from these transactions.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. Quiz results and study progress are retained to provide you with ongoing performance tracking. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, and request deletion of your account and associated data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hangaracademy.com. We will respond within 30 days.

11. Children's Privacy

Hangar Academy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@hangaracademy.com and we will delete it promptly.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and row-level security on all user data tables.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by email and by updating the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
